As a child, Mindy loved “She-Ra, Princess of Power” — a strong, heroic woman fighting for what is right. When a local venue approached Friends with Benefits about creating a charity event in March, Mindy immediately thought of International Women’s Day and Denton’s vibrant music scene. From that spark, She-Rock was born: a celebration of female artists across the state, including musicians, comedians, and visual artistsFWB also created a celebration of female leaders in the community honored through the She-Rock Awards.
